Dr.Capture makes taking screenshots and recording the screen straightforward and easy. It supports several capturing modes and it places a good number of configuration options at your disposal. The application serves a wide range of purposes, from simple snapshots of the screen, to recording tutorials or gameplay footage.

Dr.Capture is free, but some of its features are reserved for its paid version. It is compatible with all modern Windows versions and it can be installed in under a minute. The software doesn't require any supplementary tools or drivers and its hardware requirements are modest.

The compact user interface presents options for recording the screen and for taking snapshots separately. In both cases, you can choose between several targeting options. You can decide to capture the entire screen, a boxed area or a window. When it comes to capturing a window, you only need to click one in a menu, because Dr.Capture can detect all windows, even if they are minimized. Furthermore, to capture a boxed area, you only need to move and resize a rectangle and click a Record button.

A series of fine tweaks can be made, besides choosing what and how to capture. The application lets you opt between several recording qualities, show or hide the mouse cursor in the recording, capture audio and much more.
